Sage's Gorgeous
2 1/2 yr old Roundups Purple Sage daughter |
We have raised registered Texas Longhorn cattle since 1991 and especially enjoy helping new breeders get started.
We have become more impressed with these gentle, intelligent animals every year.

Our bloodlines include longhorn greats such as: Roundup, Hunt's Command Respect, Hunt's Demands Respect, Doherty 698, Phenomenon, Monarch 103, Tabasco, Senator, Bold Ruler, Classic, Delta Diamond, Gunman, Overwhelmer, Jet Jockey, Texas Ranger JP, Stagecoach, Ozark Mountain Queen, ...and the list goes on.

Roundups Purple Sage,
is an Owen McGill branded son of the famous bull, Roundup. "Sage" is a full brother to Teton, owned by Remount Ranch, Wyoming. Sage crosses extremely well on our heavy Overwhelmer pedigreed cows and has been represented at the annual Horn Showcase measuring in Ft. Worth, Texas by numerous offspring.
Sage throws the gorgeous roan colors; red, blue and even purple! His purple roan color was referenced in the November 2004 Texas Longhorn Trails magazine, pgs 45, 48.

Hunt's Respected
We are using a son of the multiple Horn Showcase Champion bull, Hunt's Command Respect, that we own in partnership with Doug Hunt. His name is Hunt's Respected and we have been very pleased with his first calf crop. Lots of color, good conformation, great dispositions, and very good horns.
We are also using a big, black and white son of Hunt's Demands Respect, named KC Show Respect, to come back across our Roundups Purple Sage and Hunts Respected daughters. We anticipate he will add size, frame, and color as well as horns. We will have calves by him in 2008.
Our longhorn cattle are gentle and bucket broke. Our little boys run, play and fish in the pastures so we can't allow any bad attitudes in our animals.

We would like to invite you to visit the ranch. Let us know when you're coming through and we'll make plans to accomodate your schedule.
We look forward to meeting you!

We have free pasture tours available for your convenience.
