After retiring from our real jobs in December of 1996, we became full, then part-time RVers, touring the United States. In 2004, we decided to settle down in our piece of paradise in the beautiful Texas Big Hill Country. With it's rolling hills, plentiful oaks, abundant wildlife, and open pasture land, all it needed was a couple of Texas Longhorns to complete the picture.

We purchased our first two cows from Richard and Sharon Parr of KO Ranch, who have graciously mentored us in what has become Dead Bur Oak Ranch.
