We believe for our breeding program to be leading edge, we must be focused around great bulls. Great cows, without superior bulls, is like a new truck without the engine, pretty slow going, if you know what I mean!
El Presidente
El Presidente is a powerful combination of the two greatest horn producing bulls of all time, Phenomenon and Emperor. His dam, Whelm me, is a full sister to Emperor. She has 65 T2T" and 84" total horn. Whelm me is a beautiful cow with big horns, wonderful color, and perfect conformation, exactly what we want our cows to look like. I believe a bull will produce daughters similar to his dam. El Presidente's sire, Phenomenon, is a legend in the breed, for producing daughters and sons alike.

JP Rio Grande
JP Rio Grande is the most exciting bull to hit the Longhorn industry. Rio Grande took the Horn Showcase by storm with 62 1/4" T2T at 24 months old exactly. Never has a bull had that much horn at such a young age!
What makes Rio Grande more than just a great horn measurement is his genetics. Rio Grande's grandsire, Gunman, the sire of JR Grand Slam, was the greatest horn producing bull in today's era, especially considering the small number of cows he bred with before his death.
Rio Grande's Dam is a superior cow with
75 1/2" T2T. She is also a 2 time Horn Showcase winner. TX W Lucky Lady is out Lamb's Power Play (Phenomenon son) and TX W Rose Bud, another knock out cow. Rio Grande is Faultless from head to tail.
Dave and Sheila Hovingh of Sun Down Ranch are partners with me on both of these Great bulls. Bob and Pam Loomis of Marietta, OK recently purchased a 1/3 interest of Rio Grande in fall 2005. Rio will spend his summers in Michigan and winters in Oklahoma, what a life!
