Spring Creek Longhorns is located in north central Kansas outside the town of Smith Center. We are eight miles west of the geological center of the US, and eight miles east of the "Home on the Range" cabin, which was homesteaded in the early 1800's. Spring Creek was founded six years ago and started out with four longhorn heifers. We liked them so much we decided to potentialy expand. After doing some research and talking with other longhorn enthusist, the heard started to develop, keeping in mind, what we knew and all we had learned along the way.
As the trades grew with the herd, we started looking for longhorns with what we thought could truly become the "Total Package". Genetics, horn, color, and confirmation. Which is what we found out it would take to reach the goals we had set. We are still working toward reaching those goals. We now have a herd that numbers up close to one hundred. So we would like to share some of our longhorn pride with you!
