Andrew Jackson Pendleton, Founder of Pendleton Ranch

Just after the Civil War, A. J. (Andrew Jackson) Pendleton moved to Pendleton Ranch from Virginia in 1870.  He moved to the Gainesville area to be near his father.  A. J. Pendleton lived here until his death in 1901, and is buried here on Pendleton Ranch.

Haze Pendleton

The Son of A.J. Pendleton, Eldridge Haze Pendleton, was in the wild west shows in the early 1900's.  He raised a family on Pendleton Ranch.  Haze had a daughter, Cora. Cora had a son, Col. James H. Adams.

The Morrow family, a branch of the Pendleton family
tree, stemming from A.J.'s mother, Jemima Kilgore,
became stewards of Pendleton Ranch after Colonel
Adams.
