In 2005, we purchased 3 bred cows and 2 heifers from the Jacari Ranch in New Mexico, a bull calf from the BVR Ranch in New Mexico and a bull from the Running Arrow Farm in Wellington, Texas. From that modest start just 2 years ago, we now have a herd of 26 after purchasing more cows from the Spring and Fall Longhorn Roundup Sales and having 8 beautiful calves born in 2006.

In November 2006, we started our AI program after Deborah completed the AI/palpation course at Bovine-Elite at College Station. Our next generation of calves will have Wyoming Warpaint, Super Bowl, Salida Slick, and The Shadow genetics through AIing, coupled with the genetics of VJ Tommie, Whelming King, GF G-Man, BL Night Chex, Senator, and Jet Jockey, through our cows.

Our goal is to combine color, size, and horn with the best overall conformation.

Lazy SP Ranch

Located in northeast Arizona, close to the New Mexico state line and south of I-40, we're a little off the beaten path. Visitors are always welcome! Just give us a call or email us for directions; let us know you are coming and we'll put the kettle on. Calls and emails just to chat about these magnificent animals make our day!
